New sharing features for restricted records
We are pleased to announce enhanced sharing capabilities for restricted records. Previously, you could create and share secret links to allow access to a published record. Now, you can also share also with specific users, granting them view, edit, or manage access to your published records.
Additionally, we have made it possible to share drafts prior to publishing, either via secret links or with specific users. This new feature allows you to e.g. provide a preview of the record to your colleagues or to collaborate with them on adding metadata to the record. These improvements are designed to make sharing and collaboration more seamless and efficient.
Privacy policy update
We have updated our privacy policy to make it clearer and more detailed for our users. The policy has been rewritten and reorganized for better readability, providing comprehensive information on the personal data we process, retain, and transfer. It also outlines who has access to this data and the types of automated decision-making we employ and for what purpose.
Our revised privacy policy has been reviewed by the CERN Data Privacy Adviser to ensure it complies with CERN's legal framework. If you have any questions to our new privacy policy, don't hesitate to reach out to us on support.

- Upcoming features: During the coming 3 months we will be launching several new features, including support for image zoom with annotations, integration with Software Heritage, and several updates to the EU Open Research Repository. Stay tuned for further updates in our September newsletter.
